We thought we’d share with you some background information about some interesting buildings belonging to Möet & Chandon. Opposite the Möet & Chandon mansion there is a luxury hotel and restaurant called the Residence de Trianon and the beautiful Orangery.

Möet & Chandon are based in Épernay, the capital of the Champagne industry. By the way, you do pronounce the ‘T’ and the end of Möet. The company are massive, and along with their premium champagne brand Dom Pérignon, dominate the champagne industry. As a result they own the most spectacular buildings on the Avenue de Champagne.

Their Headquarters office in Épernay is by far the largest in the business. Next to this is the mansion house and the entrance to the cellars.

Möet & Chandon’s Headquarters

There are 2 beautiful properties opposite the mansion, called the Residence de Trianon in front of the Orangery.

The Orangery houses 1000s of plants and rare palms. Each year many of them are moved out into the garden.

In 1833 Jean-Rémy Moët built two identical manor houses called the Residences de Trianon for his two children, Adélaïde and Victor. Today, they are Möet & Chandon’s private luxury hotel and restaurant.

In 1967 Möet & Chandon the public restaurant in the Residence de Trianon was reserved for private use so they had to surrender the Michelin star.

The Möet & Chandon hotel and restaurant could be called the most exclusive in the world. The grounds are only open to Möet & Chandon’s top customers, clients and distributors. Entry is strictly invitation only.
